With another week of football in the books, the standings are really started to take shape. Most of the teams who were supposed to be near the top of the standings are, however there are some surprises thus far.

The biggest surprise so far for sports gambling fans has been the NFC West, however if sports gambling fans have been following our blog, they would have known that this division was the sleeper pick of the year(here is that article). Each team in the division is above 500, and three teams are tied for first at 4-2, which is a far cry from 2 years ago when the Seahawks won the division at 7-9. The key to the success of the NFC West this year has been the quality of each team’s defense, which has enabled them to be in every game this season.

The other big surprise for sports gambling fans this season has been the AFC East. Each team in the division is 3-3 and tied for first place. No sports gambling fan in their right mind would have wagered that after 6 games the Pats would be 3-3, and in a dead lock tie with each team in the division. Clearly sports gambling fans still thinking the Patriots are going to win the division, but I would proceed with caution, because these other teams in the division are going to be studying the films on the Pats 3 losses very closely, and should not be taken lightly.

The Giants are leading a tough NFC East division, and continue to prove to sports gambling fans why they are the reigning Super Bowl champions. The Falcons are the last undefeated team in the league, however the ’72 Dolphins should have nothing to fear, because each week seems to be one game closer until they finally lose.
